WWW Interesting Dog-Related Sites
- Doggy biscuits galore can be
found at this site...I ran out of store-bought biscuits and whipped up a batch of
these--the dogs LOVE them! Oh great, now I cook for them, too!
- Dog books
about Welsh Springer Spaniels are so hard to find. This site has two books listed
for sale, one by Bill Pferd, the other by John Phillips. Check it out!
- Welsh Springer Spaniel items such as stamps and cigarette cards are
available from this site. You can also order framed copies of these items--they make great
gifts and trophies for dog shows.
- A Welsh Springer Spaniel head study print is available
from this site. The owners offer a small and a larger framed print, and loose prints at
very reasonable prices. They accept checks, too!
- Breeder Directory for
Welsh Springer Spaniels. This site lists WSS breeders in response to a zip code
search. I have tested it using Eastern, MidWestern, and West Coast zip codes, and all the
returns on the search function were, coincidentally, WSSCA members. However, this site is
NOT supported by the WSSCA and no recommendations are made or implied by this site or
Rysan Welsh Springer Spaniels. You must carefully evaluate any breeder before embarking on
a plan to acquire a Welshie.
- CERF Information
(Eye Examinations)--This is a good site for explanations of the hereditary eye
disorders that can afflict dogs, and how to detect them.
- Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (Hip
Examinations)--This site provides excellent information on hip dysplasia and the OFA
Registry. The site allows you to search for OFA numbers based on the name, sex, or AKC
number of the dog. This allows you to verify information provided by breeders, also.
- Animal Poison Control This
site could save your dog's life. There is emergency information available by either credit
card or by 900 number telephone charge.
- General dog topics--Well-written
general dog-related topics that are appropriate for any person looking to add a dog to the
household.
